Q: Is there a demo site where we can experience the mobile cart ourselves?

A: Sure. Go to http://mobile.vortx.com from your smartphone. You can also view the sample site from your desktop.

Q: Is this shipping today?

A: This day and every day. Go online to our mobile page and feel free to add it to your cart.

Q: Does it work for ChannelAdvisor customers?

A: We are taking orders for ChannelAdvisor users, yes. We're wrapping up the test version and expect to be shipping before the holidays.

Q: How long does it take most engineers to implement this on a site? Or is that included in the price?

A: It is included in the standard cart price. We love that. There is also some allowance for custom sites – most often we end up teaming with our clients who have made custom changes and helping to implement the best, most cost-effective solution possible.

Q: Does your cost include implementation? If not what is the average implementation costs?

A: See above question.

Q: What is the implementation process?

A: We will setup a test site and apply our magic. Our clients then make sure that all is just as they expected and once we all agree, we press the button and it is launched. That doesn’t always happen same day, but it can and often does.

Q: How long does it take to be implemented?

A: Between 1 and 4 days; it is unusual for the delivery time to be outside that range. The clients who invested in their mobile cart after last week’s webinar are already up and running.

Q: Will this work with Interprise Suite?

A: Yes!

Q: If I have a custom navigation bar, will the mobile device utilize this or will there a specific navigation for mobile?

A: The top navigation for mobile is static. It creates its own horizontal navigation based on the category structure. It’s unlikely that you will have to give it another thought. The needs of the mobile shopper are very different from the needs of the desktop web surfer.

Q: What stats do we have on what mobile devices are being used to buy? (i.e. iPhone or blackberry, etc.)

A: According to MarketShare.com iPhone has 64.81% of the mobile browsing market followed by Android 8.42%, Java ME 8.09%, Symbian 7.39%, Windows Mobile 5.52%, Blackberry 3.47% and Other 2.30%.

Q: Is the mobile detection based on the browser user agent? Is that easily configurable so store owners can add new user agents as new devices are released?

A: Yes, and oh, yes – easily!

Q: Does the m-commerce extension require source code mods or can we just drop it into the skins folder?

A: Neither. The end user does not need the source code that AspDotNetStorefront offers.

Q: Can we see what purchases came through the mobile platform?

A: The best way to track mobile traffic and mobile sales is with Google Analytics and conversion tracking. The mobile team at Vortx can help, and we would love the opportunity to do so. Click here to check out our Google Analytics offerings.

Q: Is it written in C#?

A: Yes.

Q: Is the code security vetted?

A: It is “security conscious” but as far as we know there is no certification process yet for mobile carts.

Q: Can we as developers buy your source code?

A: Source code is not available at this time. Please contact us if you are interested in becoming a reseller.
