Based in Ashland, OR Vortx is a long-standing Microsoft Certified Silver partner and traditionally builds code using the .NET framework, mainly in C#. We have always used XML and XSLT extensively, and recent development has also involved MVC and now massive use of JavaScript and its offshoots (JSON, JSONP, V8). Increasingly, we are coding ‘close to the wire’ and eschewing frameworks in favor of flexibility and creativity. We are handling massive amounts of data, with the accompanying warehousing/mining.

General Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar field, OR at least four years consecutive programming experience using .NET
- You must possess strong and demonstrable OOP skills.
- Strong interest in e-commerce is required.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of clients and staff is essential.
- You must be able to work productively in a team and on your own.
Technical requirements:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft developer tools – must include Visual Studio.
- Ability to work productively in several of the following programming languages:
- Required: C#, ASP.NET, the .NET framework, HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, TSQL.
- Helpful, but not essential: VB.NET, XSLT

Senior Sales Representative, e-commerce software

shopping cart platform, is seeking a senior sales representative to engage prospective
customers through short sales cycles.
Vortx is all about e-commerce. It’s what we do. We enable online merchants by building
and offering a comprehensive set of web-based software and services to those who
want to effectively find, reach, and sell to their online customers. Our AspDotNetStorefront
shopping cart platform is used by many thousands of online merchants from around the world,
and is second to none in features, customizability, and versatility. Our service
departments extend cart features to meet custom whole-systems integration requirements,
merchant branding and personalization needs, search engine optimization, site hosting,
and more. Our deep trench of development and solution provider networks enables
our customers to find even more specialized help when they need it.
In this role, you will focus your efforts on selling the AspDotNetStorefront shopping
cart platform and several of our other off-the-shelf e-commerce software products
to new and existing online merchants.
Ideal candidates will have a strong and demonstrable B2B sales record, selling off-the-shelf,
“packaged” software products, and have:
- Absolutely outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- At least five years recent and relevant sales experience
- A passion for customer service and a “can-do” approach

- Proficiency with common end-user software tools and the “ways of the web”
