Custom Product Builder
Customization is the key to any good skateboard, so when TGM Skateboards approached us to create a custom skateboard builder, we jumped at the chance.
Starting with the AspDotNetStorefront built-in Kit Product functionality, Vortx designed and built the Custom Product Builder.
Shoppers are able to search through the site's impressive catalog of parts and sort by brand, color, model, price, and size.
When they find the exact component they're looking for, they can add it to their custom board.
After they've built their dream board, the shopper can add their completed board to their cart. Behind the scenes, the store tabulates the cost and adds each part to the customer's cart.

Events Calendar
New York Vinters regularly hold wine tasting events and dinners throughout each month at their sophisticated brick and mortar store in downtown NY and they wanted to sell tickets online through their store.
But most out-of-the-box solutions need costly back-end modifications and client
training.
AspDotNetStorefront was the cart of their dreams. However, they really needed the "events' piece to
make it workable for them.
Vortx had the solution.
We got to work and:
- Modified a ComponentArt interactive calendar to use ASPDNSF Vectors as months, then
set Products as events. This let New York Wine Co. manage their events just like
any other product, with no back end modifications.
- Designed a calendar that lets users browse upcoming events. Each event then linked
off to a details page.
- Tickets to the events can then be added to the cart just like any other product.
Vortx had created a cost-effective, easy-to-manage solution by being innovative and knowledgeable.
The customer was thrilled.
They were able to advertise their events to a whole new market, and managing the
tickets was just as easy as managing anything else in their inventory.

Advanced Add-to-Cart and MiniCart
When the popular online retailer Costume Kingdom approached Vortx, they wanted to be ready for Halloween. So we quickly personalized their one page checkout to be more customer friendly, added a "free shipping" threshold, and created custom sorting, and product paging.
After consulting with CostumeKingdom, we learned what they were really in the market for was a speedy,
cutting edge shopping experience. The creativity for this was all found in-house and both Vortx and our
client were thrilled with the results.
Not content to settle for an out-of-the-box experience, Vortx created:
- A fun mini-cart that combined AJAX, XML, and transitional effects.
- A completely custom "Add to Cart" form that doesn't interrupt the shopping experience.
- Custom animation on the "Add to Cart" button and the mini-cart that alerted the buyer their item was placed in the cart.
The result? A massive increase in sales over the previous year, a very satisfied customer, and another success story for Vortx.

Geo-targeted Content Carousel
The Vortx Content Carousel is one of our most popular features. This rotating slideshow behaves
like an animated flash banner but is much easier to maintain and doesn't require special software.
Allergy Control liked the idea of the Content Carousel but wanted to make it even more specific: they wanted visitors from different parts of the country see different ads.
Using a combination of AspDotNetsStorefront's built-in registration features and a custom script, we were able to provide Allergy Control with exactly what they were hoping for. This Geo-targeted Content Carousel displays graphics according to the region of the U.S. the visitor is browsing from. Default, non-specific slides appear when the visitor location is outside of those regions.
