Dana Greaves, CEO
Dana was President and CEO of Oregon DataWorks, Inc., which merged with Ashland
Institute for Strategic Studies in February 2005. He was founder and CEO of Software
By Design and other high-technology companies specializing in software architecture
and development services throughout the United States and abroad. Clients spanned
every industry, from manufacturing companies to investment groups to city and state
government organizations.
He has also authored and co-authored a number of bestselling programming books for
Que Corporation, and led industry think-tanks, user groups, and leading-edge Silicon
Valley technology companies.
With nearly 25 years of experience in the field, Dana leads the Vortx team with
a passion for excellence in technical innovation and in customer service. "I cut
my teeth in production software environments at Borland, Novell, and Microsoft,
then found an even greater passion in producing highly customized solutions for
those whose business needs do not fit inside the shrink-wrapped box." Dana says.

Jo Stewart, COO
Jo worked for IBM United Kingdom from 1977 to 1985, following which she owned and
ran a Country House Hotel in the English Cotswolds until 1994. She then founded
and built a software company (specializing in recipes) to its sale in 1997 and immediately
opened an early-entry online European travel company which sold in 2005. She has
a history of successful entrepreneurial activity in startup software companies.
Within Vortx, Jo has the role of Chief Operations Officer and has helped to transfer
a service-based company to a highly successful combination of services and product.
She is deeply involved in the strategic planning for the company, the implementation
of the resulting plans and the smooth-running of day-to-day operations. Outside
of her professional and commercial activities, Jo has authored a series of parenting
books, has won several international culinary competitions and loves literature
and gardening.
